Affiliate Marketing and Motivation

About three years ago I started a course for Affiliate Marketing. I bought a course online for 37 euro, I believe and I got super excited. This excitement lasted for only a couple of weeks. Just like going to the gym and trying to lose some weight. I’ve never been successful at it.

Now I’ve picked up the pieces of my shattered (and lazy ass) ego and started again. With an Affiliate Marketing website. Teaching others how to be successful.

This particular market is extremely broad and there are lots of websites out there that promote it. Not an easy market. But I believe I do have a plan.

That plan is the combination of a proven strategy that works and a personalized touch on my website.

In my research, I have found that all the information, down to the color of the text you should use (dark grey apparently) are openly available. For anyone to access.

I have started my new website that was built like a bunker. And still, motivation comes and goes.

Setbacks are extremely common in life and of course when you start something new you often fail.

When I started to build my own document with real experience for others to read, it dawned on me that motivation might be the most important obstacle we face. By we I mean those who offer good, quality courses and want others to benefit from AM as well. It would be great if I could sell motivation in a bottle.

What if every person that has ever signed up for my courses was limitless in his motivation? There would have been too many AM websites to count.

But only a few succeed.

I also happen to be one of those ‘overthinkers’ when the secret to lasting motivation (should such a think exist) is Dori from Finding Nemo. Remember? ‘Just keep swimming, just keep swimming’

AM rewards those who do exactly that. You write that post even when you don’t feel like it. At the moment I’m not feeling as though the Good Lord is directing this text as I type. I’ve had too much to eat and I feel like a pufferfish. But I must keep swimming.

I just wanted to take this opportunity to encourage you too, should you struggle with motivation. The promises that AM makes are genuine. Commissions do come in to those who stick around.

The best advice that I have is to do a little each day. Write 1 title, the rest of the post in the rest of the week. Not startling, but sensible and realistic. Later on your motivation will return. It always does.

Another side-tip: a writer once said ‘writing is scrapping’. I have read previous posts from myself and honestly wondered who the numbskull was who wrote that.

Write, leave it alone to simmer in its own natural juices. Revisit in 2 days. See your mistakes. Edit.

Happy Affiliate Marketing to all!
